How to upload videos on CFA Connect

1. After logging in to CFA Connect, you can upload your own videos by clicking on Video > Upload to CFA TV
2. Give your video a title and a description. You should also insert some tags (key words) to describe your video. The more relevant tags your video has,the easier it will be to search for. When you have done this, hit the [Next] button.
3. Select a video from your computer to upload.
4. Click on the [Upload Video File] button to submit. You should see a message - Video successfully uploaded - to show that the process is complete.
5. When you upload a video using CFA Connect, it will automatically be sent to the CFA TV YouTube channel. All videos that are uploaded are subject to moderation, so the video will be private until a site administrator makes it live.

How to embed a video into a news article

You can embed a video by simply typing the following code wherever you want the video to appear in your news article:

{youtube*}videoid{/youtube*} - minus the asterisks.
Replace 'videoid' with your actual video's YouTube ID.

How to find my video's YouTube ID

1. Every video you upload is hosted on YouTube, at CFA TV's Channel . Your video ID can be found by going to CFA TV's Channel (where your video is hosted) and locating your video.
2. Click on your video to load it in its own page.
3. The URL (web address) for that video is listed in the right-hand column of the YouTube page playing your video.
   A typical YouTube video URL looks like this:
   
   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rP0ArsTCV6E
   
   Your video ID is the code of letters and numbers after the equals sign. In this example, rP0ArsTCV6E is the video ID. For example, to embed this video, you would place the video ID between the embedding tags in your news article like this:
   
   {youtube*}rP0ArsTCV6E{/youtube*}  -  minus the asterisks.
