It comes as no surprise that a visit to the Casey Safety Village was a ‘must do’ for CFA’s new Chief Officer as he travels around the regions.

The third annual Southern Metro Region Junior Graduation Camp was held from 19 to 21 of November at the Phillip Island Adventure Park. Juniors and leaders participated in team building, leadership and individual personal challenge activities. 

After a long year of bbqs, raffles & fundraising Pakenham CFA Junior Running Team, coach, parents & supporters flew to WA recently to compete in the WA State Junior Championships.

Each year, the Melton Fire Brigade, in particular the Auxiliary, have conducted a colouring competition through every Primary School in the area.

Year 9 Yarram Secondary College students, Hannah Buys, Laura Jonston, Nicole Missen and Louise Christison are undertaking a Teenagers in Emergencies project as part of their Community Engagement Program.

Grade three and four students from Lara Primary School have upstaged schools throughout Australia and New Zealand with an award-winning fire safety film made with the support of Lara brigade.

Ballarat Fire Brigade has held their biennial Open Day at the Historic Barkly Street Fire Station.

Ballarat Fire Brigade recently started up their Junior Fire Brigade Program with 15 young members in July this year, after an absence of 18 years.

Out of low cloud last Thursday night, 16 September 2010, sirens sounded, lights blinked as Sassafras Ferny Creek Junior Brigade members emerged to treat parents and friends to a search and rescue extravaganza.

On Sunday, September 12, members of the Kyneton Group of Fire Brigades  took part in the annual Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival Parade through the town.
