Members of the Wodonga CFA will be wearing their PJ's to work on Friday June 1st to raise funds for Albury Wodonga Health's Paediatric Ward to purchase must needed medical equipment to assist sick childern in the area.
Senior Station Officer Terry Heafield has registered the Wodonga CFA to participate in the event to help raise funds for equipment that is required at the hospital.
SSO Terry Heafield believes that due to the remoteness of the Albury/Wodonga area this event is a worthy cause as most of the members at the brigade and district all have childern who may need the services and it is always good to give a little back to the locak community.
Yesterday members of the brigade (SSO Terry Heafield and LFF Glenn Ryan) along with the local 105.7 The River breakfast radio announcers (Kevin Poulton and Luisa Pelizzari) took part in a publicity event to help raise awareness of the event.
The publicity event included Prime News and the Border Mail news paper.
The brigade will aslo be taking part in other fundraising efforts through out the month to help raise funds
