Echuca Fire Brigade opened its doors to the public to celebrate 140 years of service on Saturday.

Echuca recently travelled to Tamworth to compete in Fire Rescue NSW State Demo.

Echuca Fire Brigade is celebrating 140 years of Voluntary Service to the Community.

Forty-five teams from 20 fire brigades last weekend competed at Echuca in the Greater Midlands Fire Brigades Junior Championships.The teams took part in 18 events in two age groups, 11 - 14 years & 17 years and under.

In warm, blustery conditions a number of Brigades travelled to Tatura to compete in an Urban Championship.

6 CFA & 2 MFB Teams travelled to Port Macquarie for the Australasian Firefighters Championships

Echuca recently competed at the FRNSW Firefighter Championships at Finley.

Echuca was called to a vehicle leaking gas on Wednesday evening at a local service station.

Chief Officer Euan Ferguson opened the Australia Day Championships at Castlemaine in front of 22 competing senior teams.
