There have been some exciting things happening within the Building Workforce and Volunteer Capability program this month, with a focus on the health and wellbeing of CFA’s volunteers.

It’s never too early or too late to be Fire Ready, and through CFA's Home Bushfire Advice Service, householders can now receive free, personalised advice on getting prepared for bushfire.

The Victorian Fire Risk Register is an organised program that identifies areas that are at risk from bushfires.

Prior to the 2010/11 fire season, the Fire Services Commissioner (FSC) sought nominations of officers who would be endorsed to undertake the Regional Controller function for fire within Victoria's Emergency Management arrangements.

Families of CFA volunteers often face bushfire alone while their husbands, wives, mothers or fathers are out on the front line protecting the broader community. So to help make sure that family members on the home front are prepared to the maximum degree, Bushfire Planning Workshops will be running every half hour between 10am and 3pm at the "CFA on Display" Marquee at the Werribee Champs - 9 & 10 April.
