Mother Nature put on a magic morning today (23 October) with the sun out and not a breath of wind.

As part of Belmont Fire Brigade's 100th Anniversary Celebrations this year, they decided to have a Torchlight procession to coincide with the Geelong Show.

At approximately 5:40pm on Saturday the 15th of October, Belmont, Highton, and Geelong City Fire Brigades were paged to a reported Garage Fire in Waurn Ponds.

At approximately midday on Sunday afternoon (9 October), Bacchus Marsh, Rowsley and Balliang brigades were paged to a reported warehouse fire in the industrial area of Maddingley.

Recently, the Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade held their official handover of their brand new Big Fill.

In April this year, Leading Firefighter Lachlan Redman from Melton Fire Brigade, undertook a three week Station Officer’s Development Course with 11 other LFF’s at CFA’s Training College at Fiskville.

Melton Fire Brigade recently put three firefighters through their Breathing Apparatus certification at CFA’s Training Ground at Fiskville.

Just after one o'clock on Sunday afternoon, Greenvale and Craigieburn Brigades were paged to a reported house fire in Beechworth Avenue in Greenvale.

It’s a sunny Tuesday afternoon in mid March.
