Included in the update will be short articles about the continuing grassfire risk, the Independent Investigation at Fiskville, upcoming State Championships, new training initiatives as well as the anniversaries of the 2009 bushfires, Ash Wednesday and the 2011 Victorian floods.
The Weekly Times is a popular paper amongst our members and this will be another opportunity to keep you in the loop.
One of the issues identified in the Jones report was the need for better communication with volunteers. This Weekly Times update is just one of a number of new initiatives to address this, and is aimed at improving the way we engage and inform all CFA members.
As part of the work to better understand the communication needs of our members, the next edition of Brigade will feature a tear-out survey that we would like you to complete. The survey will give us a better idea of how you want to receive information from CFA and what information is relevant to you. Our members are busy people and we need to strike the right balance between keeping people up-to-date and overloading them with communication.
The first Weekly Times update will appear tomorrow (Wednesday 22 February) and will continue on a regular basis.
