CFA Chief Officer Euan Ferguson said the decision was made due to changing weather conditions.
"Temperatures have fallen dramatically following the wind change and relative humidity has increased," he said.
"A number of areas have also received light rain.
"By 6pm the wind change should have cleared the six districts affected by TFB.
"Advice from the Bureau of Meteorology is that no part of the state will be in severe fire danger after 6pm."
Mr Ferguson said strong winds will continue this evening but the conditions and the chances of a new fire have diminished significantly.
"I would like to thank the public for following the rules of today's TFB," he said.
"By working together, we can help keep the community fire safe."
