The future of emergency information

The Fire Services Commissioner is asking the Victorian community to help inform the future direction of online emergency information by completing a quick survey on the Emergency Vic website.

Emergency Vic is a single integrated website, which was set up to test the concept of one website providing emergency information to the Victorian public.

(Complete the survey here.)

The initiative came about after the February 2009 bushfires, when it was suggested that the community should have access to information relating to emergency events through a single, integrated website.

This was also a recommendation of the Victorian Flood Review, endorsed by the Victorian Government.
