State Duty Officer Gary Weir said hot morning winds from the north will increase throughout the day and impact mainly on the Mallee and South West.
"We expect the hot winds will decrease later in the day but, with the afternoon heat, the fire danger will continue into the evening," he said.
"There will be a cool change later in the evening but that too can create a short burst of gusty wind which affects fire behaviour."
Mr Weir said most of the State - but especially the North and West - will be very hot and dry tomorrow and people needed to be aware of the conditions.
