Royal Melbourne Show's last day

Tuesday, 02 October 2012

Today is the last day of the Royal Melbourne Show, a fantastic event that CFA has been involved in.

Over the last 11 days, we've seen massive crowds visit the stand, with Bendigo's pumper truck on display and Fire Safe Kids computer games both huge hits.

Captain Koala and Station Officer Sophie have made regular appearances at the show, giving out fire hats to children and entertaining the crowds.

We would like to express our thanks to everyone who was involved in CFA's stand at the Royal Melbourne Show, especially our volunteers who played such a large part at this year's stand.

We would also like to extend a thank you to CFA's event organising committee for putting everything together, in particular: Nancy Thompson, Tim Smith, Chris Barber, Sherry McKerley, Emma Pears, Emma McDonald, Graeme Linaker and Martin Yang.

Thanks also to Mills-Tui for building the stairs to go alongside the pumper.

A selection of pictures taken at the Royal Melbourne Show can be viewed below.
