Back to Boundary Alignment Project
Chief Officer meeting with Macedon Ranges brigades
Chief Officer Russell Rees visited Gisborne on Wednesday 10 March, meeting with over 50 brigade members from across the Macedon Ranges. Representatives included captains and officers from each of the 22 Macedon Ranges brigades, Group Officers from the Macedon, Romsey and Kyneton Groups, VFBV representatives and Region 14 and Region 15 staff.
At the meeting, the Chief outlined the boundary alignment process, emphasising the project’s desire to align all emergency services organisations under the same Fairer Victoria government boundaries. The Chief also emphasised there would be no loss of service to the community with any proposed change nor would there be any loss of service to brigades.
A recommendation from the meeting was to establish a Macedon Ranges boundary alignment steering committee consisting of Group delegates from across the three groups. The steering committee meeting is scheduled for this Wednesday 14 April at Gisborne.
