Preview CFA's new public website

CFA's public website has been redesigned and a test version is available for people to preview and provide feedback.

User testing and community feedback has helped create the new website. We asked members of the public what they expected from the CFA website, how they would organise the content and what words best described the information (rather than agency terminology).

The result is (hopefully) a more user-friendly website that will better inform the 1.3 million people who visit each year.

Main changes include:

  • New navigation to help people find the information they need
  • A drop-down warnings panel on the homepage with latest emergency information
  • Integration of CFA Connect via the new ‘News & Media’ tab
  • New look and feel

This test version of the site will be running for the next couple of weeks.

Feedback and suggestions will be fed into the final version, due to launch mid-November.

Visit the test site here: www.test.cfa.vic.gov.au. Note: It's a preview site only and not all content or features are available. Dummy data is displaying on some pages, including the Warnings panel on the homepage.

I like it, it's a lot cleaner and links to the relevant information more quickly than the current website. Good work.
