On Thursday 5th July, over 150 people attended the official launch of Instant Suppression a book journaling the history of the Dundas Fire Brigades Group and its Member Brigades 1962 – 2012.Generations of brigade members and their families, from throughout Dundas and neighbouring fire brigade groups filled the room at the Performing Arts Centre Hamilton, to take part in this significant event. This in itself showed the extreme respect for the historical journey being celebrated and the interest to be part of the future of Dundas Group of Brigades. The book outlines the development of a large number of individual brigades located in the former Shire of Dundas, into a well organised and cohesive Group of volunteers. Dundas Group is situated in the Southern Grampians Shire and comprises of 18 Fire Brigades from Mooralla and Mirranatwa in the North to Branxholme and Gazette in the South.
