Members raise $1.25 million for GFA

Tuesday, 10 April 2012

Not only did the Good Friday Appeal hit a record-breaking fundraising total this year, but so did CFA members.

Good Friday Appeal organisers tallied the numbers on Friday night to confirm that CFA brigades across the State collected a record $1.25 million this year alone. What an amazing effort!

For more than 60 years, CFA brigades have been collecting for the Appeal and before this year had raised a total of $21 million. After this year’s effort, we can proudly say the CFA members have collected and raised $22.25 million for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Well done to all brigades and CFA members involved. Make sure you also take a look at the many other stories on Connect that show the true generosity of heart not only of CFA members but of the communities where we work and live.

Below are pictures of Captain Koala at the Kids Big Day Out at Etihad Stadium and, of course, some new friends he made along the way.

Congratulations everyone on such a tremendous achievement for such a great cause!
