This inaugural Plant Sale Fundraiser will raise money towards lining the interior of Maindample's brigade shed, a necessity after the brigade's former meeting place, the Maindample pub, was burnt to the ground in 2010. The brigade's tin shed has been a chilly meeting place for members and the addition of insulation, plaster and a reverse cycle split system will make it a much more comfortable meeting spot.
The Maindample shed has also been designated as the town's neighbourhood safer place.
The Firestar and Firestar Phoenix roses will also be on sale at this weekend's fundraiser. The event will run from 9am to 2pm and a sausage sizze has been organised.
