On Monday 16 July Patterson River Fire Brigade was presented with the keys to the two new appliances in their fleet; a Type 4 Heavy Scania Pumper and a Nissan Patrol ST 4x4 wagon as the new brigade FCV.

The keys were handed over by the Local Member for Carrum Donna Bauer MLA. Operations Manager Trevor Owen oversaw the presentation and said the new vehicles were great additions for the brigade.

The new Heavy Pumper which was built by Mills Tui on a Scania P320 Cab Chassis had its keys presented to Acting OIC Jim Dore by Donna Bauer MLA. The second vehicle is a brigade owned FCV which is a Nissan Patrol ST 4x4 Wagon and its keys were presented to Lieutenant Darren McGrath.

The FCV was made available through funding from the VESEP 2011-2012 Program. Both Lieutenant Angelo Giannakas and FF Steve Gannon were instrumental in the building of the new FCV.
