CFA Chief Officer, Euan Ferguson, travelled to the Loddon Mallee region last Thursday, to tour flood affected towns and meet local CFA members.

Members of Malmsbury Fire Brigade recently returned to Charlton to deliver donated goods that they had organised from their community.

CFA is beginning to see effects of recent flooding through a number of haystack fires and also a structure fire at a Rochester property yesterday.

The onflow of water from the Cardinia and Bunyip areas meant the lowland township of Koo Wee Rup was to suffer.

So many areas of outer Melbourne were also inundated by the deluge on Friday 4 February. The Shire of Cardinia was no exception.
