Every one of these workplaces is an accredited ‘Fairtrade Workplace’. CFA has joined over 250 educational institutions, workplaces, local councils and faith groups from across Australia in supporting Fairtrade.
By becoming a Fairtrade Workplace, CFA aims to support farmers and workers in developing countries through a range of initiatives. These include providing awareness-raising activities for staff, such as Connect articles and workplace displays; and supplying Fairtrade tea and coffee in staff tea rooms and meetings at HQ.

More than 75 staff attended the annual Fair Trade Fortnight morning tea at HQ today. Staff learnt more about the program by participating in the Fairtrade quiz – with some staff scoring a block of delicious Cocolo chocolate (provided by Universal Village www.universalvillage.com.au). One lucky staff member also walked away with a bag of fabulous Fairtrade goodies, kindly donated by Whitehorse Council.
Fairtrade is about making sure some of the most disadvantaged people in the developing world are getting a better deal from trade, through fair prices, sustainable farming practices and community investment. By making the decision to purchase certified Fairtrade (and sustainably sourced) tea and coffee CFA is making a real difference to the people who grow our morning cuppa.
Fairtrade products are available at all leading supermarkets. Look for the distincitive Fairtrade logo and you too can help create a brighter future for millions of farmers, workers and their families in developing countries.
Think Fair. Be Fair. Choose Fair.
