These bare-rooted roses cost $26.00 plus postage each with
$11.50 going directly from the sale of each rose to a CFA brigade of your choice.
But don’t panic! From the start of September you can buy a potted Firestar Rose or Firestar Phoenix for $36 plus delivery, and $6 from the purchase price of each potted rose is donated to a CFA brigade of your choice. Both roses can stay in their CFA pots for up to a year and make a great gift.
The Firestar Rose is the first one in the series created as a consequence of Black Saturday, 7 February 2009. The rose honours the lives lost, the many dedicated CFA members who were involved and celebrates the regeneration of life.
The Firestar Phoenix Rose was named after the “The Phoenix” the mythical bird that builds a nest, which ignites and then rises from the ashes to begin life anew. The phoenix is a symbol of hope, of life rising from fires. Firestar Phoenix is a beautiful French rose in colours of blushed apricot to pink tips with a cupped form and extremely fragrant.
