The information day will take place at Cockatoo Community Hall between 10am and 2pm and representatives from all involved agencies will be available to discuss the plan.
The plan has been a collaborative effort that has bought together all agencies responsible for the management of bushfire, including CFA, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Melbourne Water, Parks Victoria Cardinia Shire Council and Victoria Police, The plan will guide these agencies in the way they prepare for, prevent, respond to and recover the community from the effects of bushfire.
The draft Cardinia Municipal Fire Management Plan is open for community comment until 1st August 2012.
