Eight escape kitchen fire

Eight people managed to escape from a house in Port Arlington in the early hours of this morning (Sun June 10, 2012) as fire dropped from the ceiling onto the kitchen floor.

Firefighters were called to the single storey timber house in WIllis Street at 2.21am.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze in the kitchen roof at the rear of the premises.

Attending vehicles / crew: Drysdale Pumper 1, Ocean Grove Pumper 1, Port Arlington Car, Pumper 1, and Tanker 1.
