On 13 November 2011, two teams of CFA members competed at the annual Station 2 Summit challenge at the Summit Adventure park in Trafalgar East, Gippsland. The event consists of two teams of twelve from the four different emergency services (CFA, Vic Police, Ambulance Victoria and SES) competing in various activities.

Early in the morning at 5:30 AM on December 1, Warragul Fire Brigade members woke to an alert of a possum trapped in Warragul resident’s laundry. Warragul pumper with a crew of five, turned out to investigate.
