Around 100 fire operations personnel attended an inter-agency Pre-Season briefing in Ballarat this week.

During September and October 2011, two (2) Structural Fire Investigation Skills Maintenance Courses have been held at the Fiskville Training College.Twenty five Fire Investigators from across the State attended these courses.

As part of Belmont Fire Brigade's 100th Anniversary Celebrations this year, they decided to have a Torchlight procession to coincide with the Geelong Show.

At approximately midday on Sunday afternoon (9 October), Bacchus Marsh, Rowsley and Balliang brigades were paged to a reported warehouse fire in the industrial area of Maddingley.

Positioned on the edge of Wombat State Forest at the top of the Great Dividing Range, is a small rural town called Trentham. Its fire brigade runs a juniors program for local youths, teaching them problem solving, team work and a range of other skills.

Recently, the Bacchus Marsh Fire Brigade held their official handover of their brand new Big Fill.

Four brigades attended a fire in the Creswick Farmers Arms Hotel this week.
