Senior Station Officer Dave Abbey started as a junior with Werribee brigade in 1989. He remains a brigade member there, mostly for social reasons and to participate in community events such as the Good Friday Appeal. He was also one of the first appointed officers of Hoppers Crossing when the integrated station opened in 2002.
