It’s been a decade since CFA volunteers rushed to fight the bushfires in Benambra, and now it’s time to reunite and have a party.

Over 40 people from CFA, DSE, Victoria police and SES participated in Gippsland’s recent Phoenix Parsons exercise.

Princes Highway, Hillside (6 kms east of Bairnsdale) was a sea of Red and Blue lights this afternoon

9.20pm - A four hectare grass and scrub fire along Mallacoota Road (9km north-west of Mallacoota near Gipsy Point), was called in at 4.38pm today. DSE, CFA and NSW Rural Fire Service are on scene containing the fire.

Passionate volunteers from Paynesville Fire Brigade visited Paynesville and Eagle Point Primary School’s on Monday 22 October.

The Loch Sport - Spoon Bay Track fire that started on 27 September 2012 burned through 730 hectares of the Gippsland Lakes Coastal Park.

The Lakes Entrance Fire Brigade Road Rescue team are assisting with a road safety awareness evening for young drivers and their families.

CFA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Potter as the new Regional Director for the Gippsland Region.
