Creswick Woollen Mills have been the sole producer of CFA’s Personal Protection Blanket for the last 20 years. For every blanket sold directly through Creswick a generous $25 donation will be provided to CFA brigades.
As part of promoting the partnership, Creswick Woollen Mills organised a free bus trip for 48 lucky people with Bruce and Phil from 3AW’s nightline program. Participants on the day were treated to a trip to the Creswick Fire Station and were able to listen to a short talk from 1st Lieutenant Steven Ellis on fire in the local area. This was followed by a presentation of a cheque to the Brigade for $1,000 from the Creswick Woollen Mills and 3AW. The bus then went on to the Creswick Woollen Mills for a tour and then to Sovereign Hill for the remainder of the day.
Other Creswick Brigade members that attended on the day were Lieutenant Alicia Hand and Brigade Member Neville Cartledge and Suzanne Ellis who took photos of the event.
Total money raised from Creswick Woollen Mills is $7,130 with received donations going directly to CFA brigades.
