Firefighters brought the blaze under control in around 10 minutes but remained on scene blacking out and cleaning up until after midnight.
CFA Station Officer Peter Spicer spoke to ABC radio about the incident. "Upon arrival we found fire through the roof and out of one of the bedroom windows. Fortunately when we arrived there were neighbours standing by who informed us that there were no occupants and that they were out at the time."
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
