Now in its ninth year, Control Line aims to bring people from across the emergency services sector together to explore the vast challenges of managing major incidents.
Control Line is designed to provide participants with an understanding and a range of skills and knowledge to undertake day to day and operational leadership roles. The day encourages active learning through a combination of presentations, group discussions, emergency scenarios, role playing and expert coaching.
The theme for Control Line 2012 is “Dimensions of Leadership”
The 2012 presenters are; Chief Cynthia E. Renaud from the USA speaking on ‘How to Function in the Edge of Chaos’, Fire Services Commissioner Craig Lapsley on ‘Expectations of Leaders’, Nicholas Jans on ‘Leadership in Development and Action’, Chief Commissioner Ken D. Lay on ‘Leading Victoria Police’, Colonel J. P. Blain on ‘Leadership in Action’, and Rhonda Andrews on ‘Psychological Barriers to Leaders’.
