Connect recognised at awards

CFA Connect has been recognised by Senator Kate Lundy at the 2011 Australian Government ICT Awards in the Sydney Convention Centre.

Senator Lundy presented the first of two finalist certificates to CFA Digital Media Manager Martin Anderson in the Excellence in eGovernment Gov 2.0 category.

Queensland Police were the overall category winners for their use of social media during the recent floods.

CFA Corporate Communications Manager Guy Sigley received a finalist certificate in the Gov 2.0 Innovator category.

Queensland Police Director of Media, Kym Charlton, was the overall winner in the category.

The CFA FireReady application, developed in conjunction with the Department of Justice, was also awarded a finalist certificate in the Applications category.

The certificate was presented to DoJ Acting General Manager for Online Collaboration and Citizen Engagement Pat McCormick.
