Today, Thursday, 8 October 2009 the Community Meetings Online System will be available to the public for the first time. This new system is a step forward in building on the customer service that CFA has prided itself on for many years.
As the weather heats up so do preparations for Fire Action Week, with CFA staff and volunteers around the state getting involved, showing their commitment to inform and educate the community before the coming fire season.
Fire Action Week was announced by the Premier in August as a ‘whole of state’ effort to plan and prepare for the coming fire season. Fire Action Week will run from October 11 – 18.

A new six-tiered fire danger rating system, a new national telephone based warning system and a new online self assessment tool are among key measures the Victorian Government and agencies will deliver to prepare the State for the approaching fire season.
