Clunes Fire Brigade at Booktown

The Fire Brigade took this opportunity to provide information to the community about fire safety.

Booktown has gained international status being named Australia's first International Booktown. Many of the visitors were from outside the town, but most understood the role of the CFA.

We held a raffle to raise funds for the Brigade. Most of the people who purchased a raffle ticket received a fire safety booklet, a fridge magnet and a CFA pen.

We were positioned next to the hay bale maze. We set up tanker two near the pub in case there was an incident but luckily were incident free.

We had cardboard fire truck money boxes which the kids had to put together. They loved them! Two of our members had a crack at putting them together, they're not as easy as they look! This was a good way of getting their Parents involved and talking with us. 

Overall it was a great day!
