Spanning 150 years, the historic timeline offers a glimpse into CFA's past, from the first volunteer fire brigades in the 1800s to modern crews of 2012.
There are photos of vehicles, fire stations, and major events including the 1926 Black Sunday fires, CFA's inaugural board meeting in 1945, Ash Wednesday and Black Saturday.
CFA photographer Keith Pakenham says the selection of photos from the archives is a great snapshot of CFA's long and important history.
"It's amazing to see how so many things have changed over time with the advent of modern technology. Firefighting was hard manual work in the early days before basic firefighting vehicles and equipment came along," said Keith.
Images from the historic timeline have also been uploaded to the CFA and Member Engagement Facebook pages. If you have historic images that you would like us to include in the timeline, feel free to email them through to firstname.lastname@example.org.
