In the time frame tabled, 7,245 incidents were attended by CFA of which 1,166 were false alarms. Car fires and motor vehicle accidents made up the bulk of actual incidents, with 877 requiring CFA assistance.
Compared to the previous three month period, industrial fires are down from 66 to 32 and house fires are down from 285 to 225.
Brigades are reminded to submit their fire/incident report as soon as possible after attending an incident. Brigades on strike teams also need to submit a report. FIRS Call Centre, 1800 628 844, is open daily 8am-11pm.
