Playing under a warm October sky, the musicians started to feel the effects of the midday sun. CFA soon stepped in to provide band members with CFA’s red plastic helmets.
CFA’s Community Education Coordinator in District 17, Jenny McGennisken, said the helmets were a great hit and certainly did the job. “The jazz band members continued to wear the helmets for the rest of the afternoon and proudly wore their helmets home,” Jenny said.
CFA participated in the Garden Show with members attending a CFA information stand over the three days of the show.
Horsham brigade volunteer Ray Carman brought his two dalmatians to the show and they helped draw the public to the information stand.
