Bayswater's newest appliance

The Bayswater Fire Brigade and the community has been extremely busy fundraising for our new Slip On. There has been an enormous effort put in by everyone in working hard to raise the required funds to make this possible.

With fantastic support from some local business groups (Bayswater Traders Association) and our local MP Heidi Victoria, we were able to raise sufficient funds to proceed with the purchase of the Slip On.

A number of members in the brigade have been instrumental in progressing this project and we need to acknowledge their support. Lt Allan Budziarski, Secretary Robyn Wills & SFF Matthew Taranto have worked tirelessly behind the scenes continually to get this project up. A large number of other brigade members have also assisted throughout this project, and we thank you for your assistance.

Due to our networks we were able to work with CFA HQ and DSE to put into the field a revised Slip On design, the first one for CFA and the now approved design for this type of appliance moving forward. Another first for Bayswater!

Without the assistance and help from the following sponsors, we would not have been able to fund this appliance. We would like to acknowledge our supporters:

$20,000 City of Knox Grant

$14,000 Trivia Night—Organised by Local MP Heidi Victoria and the Bayswater Traders Association

$10,000 from RACV

$5,000 donation from Glen Cameron Transport

$5,000 donation from Bendigo Bank East Ringwood Branch

$5,000 donation from Club Kilsyth and Club Ringwood

$4,000 donation from Bendigo Bank Community Enterprise Account

$3,000 donation from the Glenvale School (Firestorm Book)

$1,000 Quantum Technologies

$1,000 donation from local community partners

Special thanks must go to our Local Member of Parliament Heidi Victoria, Craig Lapsley Fire Services Commissioner, Knox Council, RACV and our local business who raised over $69,000. Well done to everyone involved!!!
