One of the activities that the Corio Fire Brigade has undertaken is to focus on men’s health.
The Barwon Male Health Network combines the passion and commitment of CFA , Barwon Health, Male Health Victoria and St John of God (Geelong Hospital) in promoting and supporting men in the area.
Leading Firefighter Gavin Fitzgerald from Corio brigade has been part of the Barwon Male Health Network for 18 months.
“The network is made up of like-minded community support agencies and individuals whose goal is to support male health in a holistic sense for the local community. The network looks all aspects of physical, mental and general wellbeing and provides a place for men to discuss issues of concern for them,” said Gavin.
