Belgrave fire station will be turned into an art gallery over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend in June.

The 29th annual Belgrave Fire Brigade Art Show runs from Saturday 9 June to Monday 11th June.

The highlight of the exhibition will be the chicken and champagne opening night on Friday 8th June, when the paintings will be reviewed and the awards announced. Anybody can attend the opening which starts at 7.30pm and the cost is $12 per head, which can be paid at the door.

Last year there were over 370 paintings on display and the paintings feature mostly local artists but there are a few from interstate.

The art show is the Brigade’s major fund raiser each year and they are looking at raising funds to purchase a new tanker which will be a huge benefit for the local community.

The exhibition is at the Belgrave Fire Station, 4 Bayview Road, Belgrave and is open from Saturday to Monday from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free and all paintings are for sale.
