Kalkallo CFA will put some art into firefighting when it host its major, annual fundraiser across the June long weekend.

Now in its 16th year, the Kalkallo CFA Art Show will feature more than 350 artworks for viewing and for sale.

Event organiser and former Kalkallo Captain, Ned Pannuzzo, said the event was a big deal on the fire brigade’s annual calendar.

“It’s a major fundraiser for Kalkallo Rural Fire Brigade usually raising between $6000 and $7000 and allowing the brigade to purchase vital equipment,” he said.

“The event is extremely well supported by the local community and artists who submit their work year after year.

“If you haven’t been before, it’s well worth coming to have a look at.”

Entry into the event is free. Devonshire tea will be available.

WHEN: June long weekend, 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday 9 June and Sunday 10 June.
