On Tuesday 21st February 2012 the launch of the Games was held at the Yarra Park Room at the MCG.
Mr Steve Moneghetti was the MC for the Launch. Presentations of the Stuart Taylor Award, the Volunteer of the Year and Chief Commissioners Trophy by Acting Deputy Commissioner Tim Cartwright President of the Victoria Police Games Federation.
Other guests were the Hon Peter Ryan Deputy Premier and the CEO’s of the 22 Agencies competing in the games. Special Guest was Jared Tallent double Olympic Medallist at the last Olympics who after a short interview by Steve opened the games officially.
This was the launch of the 2012 Victorian Police and Emergency Services Games which invites all CFA registered members both staff and volunteer to compete as an individual or as a team in the 42 sports offered by the Games.
