This happy little group travel 65 kilometres each way to donate blood every three months. This all came about after Black Saturday. Members of the Stawell Rural Fire Brigade felt that even attending the Murrindindi complex of fires as fire fighters was not enough and so organized themselves to donate blood.
The Staff at Region 16 were so supportive in this endeavour that they became involved also. This mix of volunteers and staff encourages their follow members to ask themselves, “Should I donate blood?”
If the answer is yes, get a group together and start today. The Australian Red Cross Blood Service is ever so helpful and would graciously accept your donations.
The Australian Red Cross Blood Service may be contacted on 13 14 95. Do something special, give blood and save Australian lives.
