How Aussie can you get? 56 ride-on mowers turned up to set a World Record on the number of ride-on mowers cutting grass at the same time.
Organiser John Malligan said participants came from as far away as Hamilton, Ballarat and Rainbow.
With over 100 astounded spectators looking on, the long line of ride-ons threaded its way from the Pomonal Store to Barney's Bistro where the Pomonal FB had prepared a paddock for cutting.
After the mowers were parked, old fashioned games were enjoyed by families - egg and spoon, three legged to name a few.
All the talk in the crowd was about next year's attempt, with a crew from Moyston sketching mower designs on a napkin.
Owner of Barney's Bar and Bistro - Gary Main, donated half the day's bar takings, saying it was a fantastic day and he looked forward to supporting the event next year.
With the help of sponsors (thanks Monaghans RE, Intertwine Services, 3WM Radio, Stawell and Ararat Lawn Mower Centres, Ararat and Stawell Mitre 10) the Pomonal Brigade raised $2500.00 for a new community tanker.
