Fire Ready at Bunnings

On Sunday 11 October, 44 Bunnings stores across Victoria featured Fire Ready Victoria sessions given by CFA and MFB presenters.

Sessions were held at 11am, with a special presentation held at the Mill Park store including Premier, John Brumby and Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Bob Cameron.

Members from South Morang Fire Brigade were also on hand to represent CFA during the MFB presentation. The Premier also spoke about the importance of protecting your home and making sure you are ready for summer by preparing your property.

The sessions were held as part of Bushfire Action Week, which continues until Sunday 18 October.

Unfortunatly , once again we have tried a mass media stunt that misses the mark , great photos of CFA and MFB members however no public, this was the same at my location only 3 members of the public attended , We have to realise that the message is mostly preached to the converted....however one convert is better than none
