Household Bushfire Self Assessment Tool,
animation took 16 minutes to download on dial up
It then took me 15 minutes to complete
It looked at the NW zone and E zone
Mt Lubra hit from SW and NE

I have been told to leave early and my CFA station is indefensible smilies/cheesy.gif

I have had a quick look at the Household Bushfire Self Assessment Tool and am very impressed with what I saw. The animation downloaded instantly and I thought was brilliant. It is engaging, clear and informative. It also encourages one to continue on with the process.
I intend to email the link to it to everyone I can. Even if people don't go through with the full household assessment they will be more educated about bushfire behaviour.

Meetings Online System and Household Bushfire Self Assessment Tool are very slow on my "bush broadband" - nearly gave up The PDF downloads are very good information. No meetings scheduled for the Alpine Shire in the Meetings Online System!

Our home was defended and survived. The fire came from the South in Dixon's Creek. This self-assesment tool is so general and non-specific that it predicates an answer of "undefendable." This is perhaps what the Govt. wants.

Can someone go round to Randall's place and check his internet connection? The animation is 2.8Mb. On dial-up that should take less than 7 minutes to download at 7kbs. Mate, if it takes you 15 minutes to do the assessment then the video will be ready and waiting long before you've managed to complete it. smilies/wink.gif

Hi, Try looking at community meetings for Alpine Shire. No towns listed. They are all listed under Alpine Resorts which is not correct.
