The 2009 Bushfires Royal Commission has reached a milestone with the last witness giving evidence.
The last day of hearings will be May 26 and the commission will be busy between now and then completing its inquiries into the causes and circumstances of deaths and hearing final oral submissions.
The commissioners' final report will be delivered to the State Government by July 31.
